Zimbabwe has been much in the media for the past years because of its political, economical and social issues. Most people - when you talk of Zimbabwe - think of being a billionaire who is poor, ZANU PF and MDC, queues,  violations of Human Rights, food shortage and cholera. But is that all what there is to tell about Zimbabwe ?
This project is a breakthrough by two upcoming photographers, Resta Nyamwanza ( Zimbabwe ) and Helle Momsen Fredslund ( Denmark ).These two different photographers came out with different perspective of Zimbabwe . The exhibition is meant to give an insight on Zimbabwe through photography. Remember, "A picture is more than a thousand words" (Fred R. Barnard). The camera as a source of communication was used to capture different scenes that depict the situation in Zimbabwe around 2008.

The objectives of the project are to show some of the realities and the strengths in Zimbabwe . To get in between the black and white picture the media seems to be painting, to show the colors that are still shining but also the difficulties.

We wish through pictures to depict the challenges Zimbabweans are facing, to communicate the political and social situation, to reflect on the economical hardships, but also to focus on the Zimbabweans' strengths in conquering these and thus the country’s  foundation for the future.
